UFO's....

Unfinished Objects...

Do you ever stop and ponder just how many unfinished projects you have? I recently wanted to know the answer to the question so I searched high and low to see just how many I had!  In doing that, I saw just how many different techniques or textiles I enjoy doing!
I have needlepoint...
crochet and crewel work...
I have several quilt blocks I've started...

Counted cross stitch and redwork...

Last but not least...my first attempt at Crazy Quilting!

I have vowed to see just how many of these UFP's I can turn into FP's by the end of the year...we'll see how that goes! Somehow I don't think my plan will pan out as looking at my fellow bloggers sites, I will be inclined to start new projects because the temptation will be too great!  There are way too many talented ladies out there to resist!  So...I better quit blogging and start crocheting!

Back home...Missing my baby....

Well...I'm back home and missing my baby!  He is just so precious...I am so lucky I was able to spend the first week of his life with him!  I have added just a "few" more pics so I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! While there, his mom made me feel like I was really putting her mind at ease with my being there.  It was the greatest feeling ever!  With it being so long since my little one was a baby, you wonder just how much will come back to you and amazingly it does!    Now the fun of scrapbooking all the photos "Nana" took!

Have a great day!

Let Me Introduce You To Baby Kael...

Fellow bloggers...I am on cloud nine!  My 1st grandson was born yesterday afternoon after quite the wait... His name is Kael Gregory, weighed 8lbs 12oz, and was 23.25in long!  He is in absolute perfect health and if I may say so myself, is the cutest baby ever!!!!  But what do I know?  I'm just one proud Nana!  Mom is doing well as there were no complications and we will welcome them both home tomorrow.  I was lucky enough to be able to take the week off work to be able to help the kids the initial week of adjustments.  It is a week I will treasure.  Unfortunately, Nana lives 2 hrs away and won't get to see him as often as she would like but have now found what I will be doing most weekends!  My little care will get quite the workout! Hope you enjoy the pictures as I can't stop looking at them!

This is the proud dad...Nana & Kael  Proud PapaPrecious...
Till next time...

I Have A Question...

I wanted to know if anyone can help me solve a dilemma?!  I have noticed that when I follow someone's blog, the photo I have on my profile does not appear.  The generic blue box appears instead.  I've tried to detect what I was doing wrong myself but was at a loss.

So.... fellow bloggers... help!  I really love my cute little picture and the little blue box... not so much!

     Thanks...

My New Toy...

Look at my new toy! Now that the husband has set up his own blog, there was a small problem with sharing the one computer! So my brother was a sweetheart and bought me this cute little notebook that I can blog anytime I want to!

We are still waiting for baby Kael...he obviously is in no hurry to make an appearance!  She goes to the dr tomorrow so maybe he will induce.  She's been in bed almost 2 weeks from back pain so she can't do the things you usually do to bring on the labor.

Was looking at the progress at Attic24....the granny blanket is coming along  beautifully!  I think I might actually have to make on myself!  The only problem with that is that I have sooooo many UFO's that I find it hard to start a new one...But I won't tell....will you?!!

Wellness Check...

For those of you who follow Sunflowerz Crochet, I just wanted to let you know that I spent the evening with Ms. S and she is doing well after her surgery.  She's up and about, reading a little and she even crocheted some today.  If she has picked up her hook, you know she's feeling better!  She is in great hands....Mr. S is taking really good care of her.  He has been cooking great meals for her...I even invited myself to dinner tonight it looked so good!  So don't worry, her blogging friends, she is coming along just fine.  She may be a few more days before she is ready to sit at the computer and catch up on the gossip and the latest crafts so bear with her...she'll be back before you know it.

Now, on to the baby front.... The doctor said if he has not made an appearance by next Thurs, he will induce labor and take charge of the situation!  She is in so much back pain, I really feel sorry for her.  So, we will wait patiently as this may be a sign that he will be a headstrong little boy!

That's all for tonight!  Just wanted to say a quick hello and give an update on Ms. S....

Blogs, Blogs, Blogs...

I cannot believe how long one could sit in front of the computer checking out blogs!  Somewhere this evening I lost two hours surfing the web.... amazing!  I really love visiting everyone's blog, getting to know people, there hobbies and talents and honing up on my new found knowledge of the computer!  Be patient, if I haven't made it to your blog, one day I will eventually make it there!

No news on the grandbaby front!  Doctor visit tomorrow, I guess we will see if they will induce labor or not.  Obviously, baby Kael is not ready to make his presence know!  He's holding out!  Nana is patiently waiting...

Goodnight all!
